Dr. Leeds completed his medical education from the Ross University School of Medicine in the West Indies, where he excelled in anatomy and physiology, which drew him toward surgery. He then completed an internship and residency in general surgery at Valleywise Health Medical Center (formerly Maricopa Medical Center) in Phoenix, Arizona. The residency program, which included rotations to several prestigious hospitals, including the Mayo Clinic, Scottsdale Healthcare Hospitals, and Providence Portland Medical Center, allowed him to gain valuable experience. 

Afterward, he completed a fellowship at Providence Portland Medical Center in Oregon, during which he operated with several renowned surgeons in minimally invasive surgery as well as colorectal and hepatobiliary surgery. 

Dr. Leeds is affiliated with Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation and Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital, located in Dallas, Texas. He is board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery and a member of the American College of Surgeons.
